Homemade Peanut Brittle

I have always liked peanut brittle and by chance I received a gift pack of various peanut products from a business associate . First I noticed that the peanuts had a very unique and delicious quality to them. It was that they seemed to be crunchier than other peanuts that I have tasted and the flavor was fresh without that sometimes "stale"or "dead" flavor and it was robust so that as I ate them the flavor seemed to burst into my mouth , a very surprisingly and enjoyable experience. I looked at my wife and said," I know this sounds kind of nutty but these are the best peanuts I have ever tasted." My eyes quickly set upon the can of peanut brittle. "if the peanuts are this good, the peanut brittle must be of equal quality", I thought to myself as I ripped off the lid and before I could put a piece in my mouth I could smell the aroma and as my mouth started to water ,I put it in my mouth and began to chew it and savor it. My wife ,also a peanut lover grabbed the can from me and warned me that I better save some for her! We both stood there at the kitchen counter eating the peanut brittle. Now our two Rottweillers sat there staring at us ,their eyes were asking for a sampling but we do not think peanut brittle would be good for them so instead I gave them a dog treat. Still they stared at us,sorry it's not going to happen and as they walked away disappointed my wife and continued to eat this fantastic peanut brittle. We refrained from finishing the can and quickly put it away for another day of enjoyment. I then went to my computer and ordered more peanut brittle along with other items." We will run out of this and then what?" I told my wife. Being a food supply chain specialist I knew that I had better get another order on the way!

Just like the way it was made in my mom's day and that had to b e at least 80 yrs. ago. We wouldn't purchase it from any other company!!
