Ever since I was a small child our family has been involved in the peanut industry. It started in 1974 with my father becoming part owner of a peanut shelling mill in Sedley, VA. It was the company's responsibility to contract with the local farmers to grow seed peanuts. I remember vividly watching truckloads of peanuts
being delivered to be shelled and sized for next year's seed. There were two characteristics that my father always embraced daily and that was to give his customers (the farmers) the best customer service and the
best seed peanuts he could. He never wavered from this. It is with that same philosophy that Whitley's
Peanuts has continued to grow every year for over 35 years by maintaining a consistent quality product and
